Prayer Challenge Day 7
Day 7: Pray For Jerry & April Foster and the Belgium Human Trafficking Safe House
I release the Holy Spirit upon Jerry and April. I declare that they will flow in the gifts of the Spirit and they will bear all the fruit of Your Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (1 Cor. 12; Gal. 5:22-23)
I believe You will transform the girls in the Safe House into Christ’s image. Use their current circumstances to produce a harvest of righteousness and peace in their lives. (2 Cor. 3:18; Jas. 1:2-4; Heb. 12:5-11) They will find intimacy with God. Draw the girls face-to-face with You, that they might taste Your goodness and long for more of You. (Ex. 33:11; Ps. 27:8, 34:8, 42:1-2)
Release to each girl wisdom, and give them a constant hunger for more. Fill them with the knowledge of Your Word and Your will. Grant them a life-giving fear of You, for that is where all wisdom begins. (Prov. 3:13;9:10 Jas. 1:5; Col. 1:9)
Prayer Challenge Day 6
Day 6: Pray for Brad & Leah Leach and the Philadelphia Church Plant
I pray right now for the entire city of Philadelphia, that You, the Lord of the Harvest, would send many more workers into Your harvest field so Your Word can spread rapidly and be honored. Draw people to join the launch team with Brad & Leach.
Delever Brad, Leah, and their team from wicked and evil men. Protect them from the evil one. Open great doors for effective work. Give them words to clearly and fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel.
We declare Your promise for Your church – that this church will be planted and built, and the gates of Hell cannot stand against them (Matthew 6:18).
Prayer Challenge Day 5
Day 5: Pray for Orphans in Mexico & Nicaragua
Also pray for Harold McKamish of Caring Hearts Ministries in San Luis, Mexico & Eric & Shana Ferguson of Metanoia Missions in Nicaragua.
I declare today that no weapon formed against ____________ will prosper. As __________ dwells in the shadow of the Most High, deliver him/her from terror, darts of doubt, & diseases. Set your angels around him/her, and let no power of the enemy harm him/her. Turn aside rumors, gossip, criticism, abuse, and ungratefulness. May temptations, stress, and fatigue be cast into the sea, and may every need & vision of __________’s be fulfilled.
For each orphan, I declare that faith will find root and grow in each child’s heart by faith that they may gain what was promised to them.
I declare that each child will grow to find Your word more precious than pure gold and sweeter than honey from the comb (Ps. 19:10). I believe that each one will have a heart that follows hard after You, Lord (Ps. 63:8). Once that clings passionately to You.
Prayer Challenge Day 4
Day 4: Pray for the Hope For Pittsburgh on Saturday, August 13 2011

I declare that each family in each community we host a Hope For Pittsburgh site will begin to seek You, reach out to You, and find You, because You are not far from them (Acts 17:27).
God, You will give them HOPE that You are with them so that the waters they are passing through will not sweetp them away, and the fire they are walking through will not burn them (Is. 43:2).
Prayer Challenge Day 3
Pray for Mission SOS, the Signs & Wonders Festival, and Unreached People Groups

Jesus, Living Word of God, send Your messengers to preach the Gospel where You are not known, to the unreached people groups, so that those who haven’t heard the truth will understand it (Isa 52:15).
I declare that the Holy Spirit will remove the blinders that the enemy has placed over their eyes, and He will help them see the light and beauty of the Gospel (2 Cor. 4:4).
I cry out for the SOS Signs & Wonders Festival this spring, and confess that the unreached will accept the Gospel message not as the word of men but as the word of God (I Thess. 2:13).
Prayer Challenge Day 2
Today we continue in our prayer challenge. Let’s do this!
Day 2 – Pray for the Network of Hope Give-A-Gift Christmas Store
God of all hope, I declare that these families we are giving to will not lose sight of the plans You have for them – to prosper them and not to harm them, to give them a hope and a future (Jer. 29:11).
I confess that each parent who comes to Give-A-Gift will hope in You and not in circumstances, and their strength will be renewed. I declare that You will fill them with joy and peace as they trust in You and they will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Isa. 40:31; Rom. 15:13).
Prayer Challenge Day 1
Do you ever stop and think about what is happening in other nations? Do you every pray for God to move across the world?
As a part of Action Month here at APEX we are focusing on a 7 day prayer challenge this week. Our goal is to “act” upon our faith by serving people, praying for the nations, and making a tangible difference in our community and the world. So each day this week there will be a blog post with a particular prayer focus from our missions campaign at Allison Park Church. I want to challenge you to join me in praying for God to move in these nations this week.
DAY 1 – Pray For the Africa Water Wells Project

“I declare Jesus is the Water of Life. We confess John 4:14 over each water well drilled: ‘whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’
For every village that will have a well drilled in their community, I declare by faith that Jesus will be their Shepherd, their Leader, the Lamb who takes away their sin. ‘He will lead them to springs of Living Water and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes’ ” (Rev. 7:17; John 1:29).

- Friday, Oct. 15 – Hayride/Bonfire at Reilly’s Summerseat Farm
- Tuesday, Oct. 19 – Brian Bolt
- Tuesday, Oct. 26 – David Rosenblum
Think about who you can invite. Looking forward to a great month. Let’s believe for life change.

What Small Group Should I Attend This Fall?
How the Book of James Can Jumpstart Your Relationship With God This Fall
Ever feel like you just can’t keep up spiritually? You know you’re supposed to read this and pray that and fast this and give that, but you just don’t know where to start? I hope you’ll join us at APEX this fall as we study the book of James.
The book of James was written to Jewish Christians who were facing massive trials, daily temptation, and the “pull” of worldliness. The bottom line in this letter is that these Christians needed to grow up in their relationship with Christ. The beauty of Christian community is that we are all at different places in our walk with God, yet we are all seeking the same thing: to grow up in Christ.
With that said, I hope you’ll come. Excited to see what happens as we trek through God’s Word each week this fall. Here’s a quick glance of themes we’ll be discussing:
- Trials
- Temptation
- Hearing & Doing God’s Word
- Working Faith
- Taming the Tongue
- Wisdom
- The Will of God
- Patience
We start this Tuesday, September 7. See you then.
